Christmas gifts

Now that Christmas is over, I can share some of the things that I made as gifts for my family. I made a knitting and crochet needle case for my Mom and 2 sisters, Erin & Emily. I think it turned out great. The fabric is from Debbie Mumm's cat collection and is so fitting for the needle case! The yarn balls are just the right colors (most of my favorites!). The case folds in half and rolls up to hold all the needles so they don't fall out. I also made myself one, which I think they all turned out great since I haven't sewn anything in years!!

My Christmas Gift

Brad bought me this Kitchenaid mixer for Christmas. What a surprise! I love this mixer. I've always wanted a nice mixer and I can't wait to make lots of cookies and cakes with it.

Cardinal Candle

I made this cardinal candle for my Grandma. I used the stamping on candles technique on SCS, so I thought I would give it a try. I turned out great! I bought a glass pedestal and added the cranberry garland. I also stamped the branch shadow stamp lightly around the sides and back of the candle, to give it a little color, but it didn't show up in the picture.
Stamp: a Cardinal Christmas
ink: riding hood red, old olive, black.
